Joseph P. Wiedorfer has been in the affordable housing industry for 32 years, 22 of which have been with The NHP Foundation (NHPF). Past relevant housing experience includes 27 years of acquiring, financing, rehabilitating, operating, and disposing of multifamily affordable housing properties that are regulated under various Federal and state housing programs, including the use of Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and Historic Tax Credits.
While with NHPF and the National Corporation for Housing Partnerships, which created NHPF, Mr. Wiedorfer has acquired a total of 36 properties, completed $175 million of tax-exempt bond financings for 18 properties, sold 16 properties, and closed a pass-through Trust that provided unsecured secondary financing to 31 HUD Section 8 rent assisted properties. Mr. Wiedorfer was also responsible for coordinating rehabilitation projects in the aggregate amount of $50 million relating to acquisitions and refinancing.
Mr. Wiedorfer received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland at College Park in May 1982. He is member of the Housing Association of Nonprofit Developers.
